Monday, August 19, 2002 Fixed on Fixed Income U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray has named Barry Nordstrand to the head of its fixed income capital markets division. He will also serve on the firm's management committee. Nordstrand will report to Andrew Duff, president and ceo at the firm. Nordstrand held the role of acting president of the division since May. Nordstrand has worked his way up through the ranks at Piper Jaffray. He joined the firm as a corporate bond trader in 1987. Since then, he has been a sales and trading manager, a taxable trading manager, a corporate bond group manager, and an institutional equity trader.
