Monday, August 23, 2010 Flanagan is Optimistic on a Recovery Martin Flanagan, CEO of Invesco, is feeling optimisic about the economy at a time when uncertainty lingers like a thick fog. Flanagan, in an interview with the Houston Chronicle, says although it is a fragile time, recovery is "on the path that most of us would imagine". He also thinks that the Federal Reserve leadership is strong and that there is an enormous amount of liquidity in the marketplace. And as for increasing industry regulation, Flanagan says the Securities and Exchange Commission, Treasury Department and Congress are all working to ensure there's confidence in the marketplace.
