This marks the first product managed jointly by Janus' fixed income team and Perkins Investment Management, an indirect subsidiary of Janus Capital Group. [SEC filing] Janus has a 78 percent stake in Perkins. Class A shares (JPVAX of the fund) come with a net expense ratio of 101 basis points.
