Wednesday, July 28, 2010 BNY Mellon Exec's Departure Has Tongues Wagging Jon Little's departure from BNY Mellon Asset Management to take a job at another firm has set off speculation about how BNY Mellon intends to replace the Fidelity-bound Ron O'Hanley. Little had been serving as interim co-head of BNY Mellon Asset Management alongside Mitchell Harris. Little is reportedly joining Kedge Capital as CEO of the global asset management business. With Little leaving, it appears that BNY Mellon is looking at filling the post with an external candidate, InvestmentNews reports, citing anonymous sources. Little and Harris were the two internal candidates to replace O'Hanley, the pub reports. BNY Mellon spokeswoman Patrice Kozlowski told InvestmentNews that the firm continues to "make very good progress in our evaluation of candidates and expect to complete that process in the near term," adding that BNY Mellon does not comment on market rumor or speculation.
