Monday, July 12, 2010 A Regulator Wants to Re-establish its Power Over Mutual Funds The National Futures Association wants to bring back powers it once had over mutual funds that mainly trade futures contracts, The Financial Times reports. The regulatory agency two weeks ago asked the Commodities Futures Trading Commisison to require such mutual funds to register with the NFA. The NFA had authority over the funds until 2003.
