Tuesday, July 6, 2010 Sentinel Hires an International Equity PM Sentinel Investments has named Stacey Ho as a co-portfolio manager on its International Equities Fund. Ho will manage the fund with Kate Schapiro, who has headed the portfolio duties for the fund since 2005. Both Ho and Schapiro are based in San Francisco. Ho joins Montpelier, Vermont-based Sentinel Investments from Perpective Asset Management, a firm that she cofounded in 2005. Prior to cofounding Perspective, she was a member of the international investment team at San Francisco-based Strong Capital and Wells Capital Management. Schapiro also spent time at each of those firm's before joining Sentinel in 2005. “Stacey and I worked as a team with much success in the past, and I am delighted to welcome her to Sentinel,” stated Schapiro. “Her broad investment experience and perspective on international markets will be a tremendous asset to the Sentinel team.” “Stacey Ho brings more than two decades of experience to an important and growing part of our business,” stated Christian Thwaites, president and chief executive officer of Sentinel Investments. Ho started he career with Edison International in 1990 and later worked at New York City-based Clemente Capital. She graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with a Masters in Business Administration. She also holds a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from California State University, San Diego.
