Friday, July 2, 2010 Baron Taps a Relationship Manager for Strategic Partners Ron Baron found a new top sales professional. New York City-based Baron Capital tapped David Judice as head of national accounts, reporting to David Feldman, head of intermediary sales. Baron's is the sponsor of nine mutual funds through its Bamco advisory arm. Judice will be responsible for building relationships and providing service to Baron's strategic partners, according to a statement. Linda Martinson, president and chief operating officer, pointed to Judice's "deep understanding of investment manager research and the asset management industry" along with his experience with and knowledge of distribution through broker-dealer and advisory platforms as reasons for his hiring. Judice was most recently director of non-U.S. and growth strategies research at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He had been with MSSB and its predecessor firms since 1997.
