Thursday, June 24, 2010 Fidelity Woos RIAs Even Harder Fidelity Investments is making moves to bond more closely with RIAs. The Boston Behemoth has tapped Michael Kim, senior vice president at Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services to head its Fidelity Practice Management Program that serves RIAs. Kim is leading the Boston Behmoth's efforts to bolster the resources it makes available to advisors with the goal of helping them build their referral network. "With more and more advisors joining the RIA market and competing for clients, referrals are critical to helping advisors grow their practices. These new resources can help them cultivate existing influencers, establish new referral sources and generate qualified business leads," explained Kim in a statement. The program will include a range of strategic resources including: intensive regional workshops, a detailed guidebook, best practices and insights from RIAs, and one-on-one consultations with Fidelity’s relationship managers. Fidelity rolled out the program through a recently-completed series of seven workshops which have attracted nearly 300 advisors in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City and Seattle.
