The Connecticut insurance company is celebrating its 200th anniversary this month, with a banner ad on The Wall Street Journal online frontpage and an interactive display on the company's homepage. The company, which started as the Hartford Fire Insurance Company in 1810, boasts in online videos about being the insurer of President Abraham Lincoln's home and providing construction bonds for the Hoover Dam and Golden Gate Bridge.
