Monday, April 12, 2010 Hancock and Wellington Partner for a New Fund Today, Boston-based John Hancock Funds introduced its new Natural Resources Fund to retail investors. The fund will invest at least 80 percent of its net assets in equity and equity-related securities of natural resource-related companies. Wellington Management, also based in Boston, will subadvise the fund. Wellington is one of the largest institutional managers of global natural resources and energy assets, and already serves as subadvisor for one other Hancock fund. John Hancock Funds serves as the distributor for the new fund. John Hancock Signature Services is the transfer agent. State Street Bank and Trust Company serves as the fund's custodian.
