Friday, February 26, 2010 Post-Deal, a Midwest Firm Appoints a National Sales Manager Two weeks ago, The MFWire reported that longtime BlackRock executive Steve Baffico was taking a top job at Claymore Securities. Now, industry sources told The MFWire that Chris Parisi, most recently head of national sales at MainStay Investments and himself a BlackRock alum, has also joined Claymore this month. Parisi took on the post of national sales manager and reports to Baffico, senior managing director and head of U.S. retail distribution at Lisle, Illinois-based Claymore, which was acquired by Guggenheim Partners late last year. Tuesday last week, Guggenheim did another deal, sealing an agreement to buy Security Benefit Corporation, the parent of SGI|Security Global Investors and Rydex|SGI. Baffico and Parisi both declined to comment for this story, referring questions to Claymore spokesperson Jeff Kelley. Kelley was not immediately able to comment. Parisi left MainStay in December. Previously, he worked at BlackRock and Federated Investors. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=31486 Copyright 2010, InvestmentWires, Inc. All Rights Reserved |
