State Street Expands to Europe.

State Street Corporation will open a new office facility in Luxembourg. The company broke ground for the state-of-the-art facility in June 2000, in conjunction with its 10th anniversary in Luxembourg.

"The opening of the new State Street Financial Center Europe will enable us to fully support our clients as they expand their global reach and distribution channels. While State Street is a global company, working closely with clients where they live has always been an important factor in our success," explained Ronald E. Logue, president and ceo of the company.

"From the new facility, we will be able to offer our European clients service solutions that are both customized and scalable," he added. State Street has also introduced the iFAST shareholder record-keeping system in Luxembourg.
