Vanguard Welcomes Two


Actively Managed Funds

Taking a step outside its usual index fund box, Vanguard is adopting two actively managed stock funds. The first fund is the Mid Cap Fund A from Provident. The other is the International Small Companies from Schroder. Vanguard will rename the funds under its own brand.

Cohen at ProFunds

ProFunds has named Steven Cohen as managing director of its institutional group. This is also a new group for the Bethesda, Maryland-based firm. ProFunds claims that is has strong institutional demand for its offerings, especially among insurance companies.

The Capital Trust Company of Delaware has named Susan Bradely and Richard Brown to its advisors advisory board. Gary Altman is joining the legal advisory board.
