In an effort to double Barclays' client base of affluent continental European investors within the next five years, Barclays is launching a multichannel, one stop solution for the aforementioned clients, reports Dow Jones Newswires. GMAC Institutional Advisors has announced five new executive appointments: Linda Hart, formerly of Berwind Property Group and Lend Lease Real Estate Investments will become CFO; Joy Overbay also comes over from Lend Lease Real Estate Investments and will now serve as Vice President and Portfolio Manager; and Christopher M. Harris and Jessica Eggins of McMorgan & Company and Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, respectively, will both become Vice President of Marketing & Client Relations. Last but not least, Kim Betancourt who comes over from Standard & Poor's, will now serve as Vice President and Manager of Realpoint.

David Fassnacht, of Wellington Management, will become assistant portfolio manager of the Windsor Fund under Charles Freeman. In another Vanguard move, David Glocke, Principal, fixed income group, will take on Robert Auwaerter's management responsibilities for the intermediate and long term treasury funds in addition to his responsibilities for the short term treasury fund and four money market funds.
