The Chicago firm has put together a one page graphic showing how the Standard & Poor's 500 reacted to past events after one month, six months, one year and three years. The events studied are Pearl Harbor, President Kennedy's assasination, the invastion of Kuwait and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Ibbotson plans to email complementary copies of this chart to the investment community to help financial representatives talk with their clients about what they might expect from the market going forward.
