Another Law Firm Joins Enron Fray


They now have enough for a basketball team as the number of law firms in litigation against Enron over its retirement plans has risen to five. The Houston firm of Schwartz Junell has filed suit in federal court in Texas for break of fiduciary duties.

Speaking of beleaguered Enron, there was an article (you will need a password) in yesterday's New York Times about diversification of assets in 401(k) plans, especially following the fall in that company's stock prices. The author, Gretchen Morgenson, quotes Eli Gottesdiener, one of the lawyers involved in the suits against Enron's 401(k) plan.
