Invesco Makes Upgrades

INVESCO Funds Group has enhanced its Web sites for both retail investors and advisors. The new versions of the site feature a cleaner interface and navigation and a video explaining the changes. The goal with the redesign was to provide more information and tools to advisors and investors, explained Terri Berg, vice president of marketing communications and electronic commerce.

The new version of the site has an expanded retirement center which provides tools as how much money participants should invest in their 401(k) and whether they should use a Roth or regular IRA.

The sites also now have the ability to deliver most information to a wireless device such as a Palm Pilot. Investors can also open accounts and make changes with a paperless process through the site. Finally, the site provides means for investors to find an advisor.

The advisor site now includes market information provided by CBS MarketWatch.com and simplified navigation to find information about funds.

IINVESCO Funds also announced that three of its funds are now a part of ING's SmartDesign variable annuity program. The funds are: INVESCO Health Sciences, INVESCO Financial Services and INVESCO Utilities.

"This relationship with ING is directly in line with our goal of positioning our products with dynamic financial service companies," said Tom Kolbe, Vice President and Manager of Institutional Sales for INVESCO Funds Group. Kolbe added that the firm is aggressively pursuing these types of deals.
