New Online Reports Offering

iMoneyNet, the publishers of the Money Fund Report, joined hands with Strategic Insight to launch MoneyFundFilings.com, a repository of money market fund prospectuses and annual and semi-annual reports.

The Web site, customized from Strategic Insight's Fund Filing, allows subscribers to search filings more easily than Edgar or Edgar-like sites, according to a company spokesperson. The service targets large institutions like a Fidelity or a Goldman Sachs as well as broker/dealers and people that sell money-market instruments.

"[The service] has been very popular of late with the Pacific Gas and Electric and Edison defaults," said Pete Crane, vice president and managing editor. "Whenever something blows up, people want to see if their competitors own it. It's so competitive that when a quirk occurs it's enough to give the salesman an edge."

Subscriptions for the service will be in the range of $5,000 per company, covering approximately 5 users. iMoneyNet and Strategic Insight will share marketing responsibilities, just as they shared development costs.

The site permits searches by fund name, filing date, fund category or objective, annual and semiannual reports, statements of additional information, and other documents filed with the SEC. Information displayed for each fund is expected to include information on portfolio managers, administrators, advisers and subadvisers, distributors, transfer agents, custodians, auditors and legal representatives.

iMoneyNet, formerly known as IBC Financial Data, is headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts.
