After Cuts, Firm Prepares Marketing Campaigns

Ivy Funds may have pruned back it staff, but the firm is not pulling back in its effort to reach its clients. Boca Raton, Florida-based Ivy has two marketing campaigns in the works, both aimed at advisors.

In a timely move, the firm has designed a kit to help intermediaries communicate about current market conditions with their clients.

"We haven't finalized it but have created what we call our 'Bear Necessities Kit' designed specifically with our intermediaries in mind so they can assure their clients," said Stephen Barrett, executive vice president and director of marketing.

According to Barrett, the kit includes template letter intermediaries can use as well as other information.

More generally, the firm is continuing forward with a new set of consultative model wholesale marketing materials.

"Most of these materials have developed with our key constituents, intermediaries, in mind," explained Barrett. "It's information about our funds. It's also information about our intermediaries' business, which is another recent strategic initiative."
