  • Stephen G. Bondi is the new Chief Financial Officer for Asset Alliance Corporation, a hedge fund that seeks to acquire equity interests in alternative investment management firms. Bondi has been with Gabelli Asset Management since 1982, most recently as executive vice president of finance and administration.

  • Bryan Bailey and Mark Otterstrom to have been promoted to portfolio managers at Waddell & Reed Financial. Bailey will manage the Waddell & Reed Advisors Municipal Bond fund and the W&R Municipal Bond fund; Otterstrom will manage the Waddell & Reed Advisors Municipal High Income fund. The pair replace John Holliday, who retired a few weeks ago after 21 years with Waddell & Reed.

  • Loomis, Sayles & Company has named Matthew Eagan as portfolio manager of the firm's fixed income management group. Most recently, Eagan was a fixed income research analyst for the firm, covering chemical, energy and telecommunication industries

  • Barclays Global Investors has launched its latest exchange traded fund, the iShares MSCI Brazil. The firm now has 20 foreign country index portfolios tracking the indexes of Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI). The funds trade throughout the day on the AMEX. iShares are distributed by SEI Investments Distribution company.
