More CEO Shuffles

Top executives of another fund company are playing musical chairs. Earlier this week American Century shuffled its leadership positions as James Stowers III took the chairman title over the CEO title. Yesterday Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management made a similar move.

The unit of PaineWebber said that effective October 1, Margo N. Alexander will hand her CEO title to Brian M. Storms. Alexander will retain her title as chairman and Storms will continue as president. Both executives report to Joseph J. Grano, Jr., president of PaineWebber Incorporated.

"Brian's expertise both domestically and internationally makes him uniquely suited to lead Mitchell Hutchins into a new era of growth," said Grano. "As the asset management industry evolves and becomes more competitive, Brian's role will be to ensure that Mitchell Hutchins continues to meet the changing needs of our institutional and affluent individual clients."
