as its new senior vice president of mutual fund relations. Thomas will be charged will handling all business relationships for Schwab's OneSource and Mutual Fund Marketplace products. He reports directly to Jeff Lyons, executive vice president of mutual funds.

Thomas had been with Scudder Kemper Investments, where he was most recently managing director for all Scudder intermediary channels. Prior to Kemper, he had been national sales director for State Street Global Advisors, where he headed retail, institutional, and 401(k) sales.

Thomas' main responsibilities will be developing strategies to initiate and leverage relationships with Schwab clients through new enterprises, pricing, new fund additions, contract negotiations, and administration.
