New DAM Institutional Salespeople


Deutsche Asset Management (DAM) is beefing up its institutional sales team focusing on the public plan market. James McPartland, Joel Whidden and Robert McGowan have all signed on.

All are based in New York and will report to Rich Goldman, head of institutional sales for DAM. "These additions signal a commitment to our continued focus to the the public fund and Taft-Hartley markets," said Goldman in a statement.

McPartland will head sales of public funds and Taft-Hartley plans. He was previously director of international sales for Batterymarch Financial Management. Whidden will be in charge of public fund sales for the Midwest. He joins DAM from Sanford C. Bernstein & Co., where he was co-director of public fund sales. Lastly, McGowan will become vice president of sales and client services for the Taft-Hartley market. Prior to joining DAM, he was vice president of finance and operations at CareMatrix.
