Frank Russell Company is launching a Web portal for institutional investors on June 5. The new feature, dubbed "RussellLINK for Institutional Investors," will provide customizable pages and access to client's investment account details. Initially, the new portal will be available to Russell's 300 U.S. investment management clients and later broadened to include Frank Russell Securities and Russell's consulting clients.

Calvert Asset Management Company, the advisor to Calvert mutual funds, announced that two of its bond funds have been awarded the Select Fund designation by Standard & Poor's. The two funds, the Calvert Income Fund and the Calvert Social Investment Fund Bond Portfolio now have Select status, joining 27 other funds.

Franklin Templeton Distributors (BEN) announced the launch of the Franklin Large Cap Value Fund. The new product, together with two new growth funds launched last month, is part of an effort to round out the firm's growth and value fund lineups. Bill Lippman will be the fund's lead portfolio manager, assisted by Don Taylor, Bruce Baughman, Stephen Madonna and Margaret McGee.

Morningstar is celebrating the recent launch of its MorningstarAdvisor.com service with a seven-day Caribbean cruise for financial planners. Featured speakers include: Don Phillips, CEO; Bob Clark, editor-in-chief and publisher; and Bob Veres, editor. The cruise, which leaves San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 5, 2000, and continues to Aruba, Caracas, Grenada, Dominica, and St. Thomas, costs $2,500 to $3,000 per couple for a cabin and $299 for the seminar.
