Tuesday, March 28, 2000 New Fund Through Pru Prudential Investments introduced the availability of the Strategic Partners Focused Growth Fund, which concentrates its investment portfolio in 40 stocks believed to offer long-term growth of capital for investors.
The fund will seek long-term growth of capital by identifying companies the advisors believe most likely to outperform the broad market, and by concentrating investments within this universe. Jennison and Alliance will each advise a portfolio segment of approximately 20 securities. The managers intend to keep the fund fully invested under normal market conditions. "The Strategic Partners Family of Funds will ultimately include offerings in most key categories of investors' portfolios - each combining top fund managers hand-picked from throughout the industry with special expertise in a given style," said David Odenath, president of Prudential Investments.
