Users of the new service will have the choice of subscribing monthly to two software packages: EaglePACE, which is an investment data warehouse/hub and portfolio management system for buy-side investment managers, and EagleSTAR, which provides straight-through- accounting and recordkeeping for mutual funds, pension funds, insurance, and billable investment portfolios.

"By offering Eagle's software in an ASP environment, clients can now access ... investment management software over the Internet without the costs and headaches associated with hosting, maintaining, and continually upgrading systems themselves," said Jim Dolan, ADC's founder and CEO. He added that he believed that the ASP model would "define a new software delivery model for this industry."

While the new arrangement is a new one, according to Jack Riley, CEO of Eagle Development Group, the two companies have "a long-standing relationship implementing software solutions for nationally recognized investment management and mutual fund companies."
