January 2000 Changes

Of course you have noticed our new look on the MutualFundWire.com. What you see on our redesigned site is only the most visible part of many changes intended to make the MutualFundWire.com and the 401kWire.com even more valuable resources than they already are. Our goal in the redesign is to offer more varied content and tools while keeping those features of our sites that you already find valuable.

So, what has changed, and why are we doing this? First, what hasn’t changed: we still will provide daily updated “insider” news from the industry as a premium service. In addition to the news, we will also offer feature columns for investment advisors. These columns will be written for the investment advisors and financial intermediaries and targeted at helping them in their day-to-day job.

Over the next few months we are also going to roll out a series of tools to help intermediaries perform their jobs and to find vendors on their own terms. These projects will include directories of the marketplace and calculators.

As a part of these changes, I am also proud to hand the editorial reins of the MutualFundWire.com to Joel Kranc. In his new role as Executive Editor Joel brings a strong editorial background and insight to the MutualFundWire.com. Most recently, Joel was Assistant Managing Editor at Plan Sponsor Magazine. Prior to that, he spent three years as a Managing Editor and Reporter for Institutional Investor Newsletters' Defined Contribution News.

While Joel takes responsibility for our day-to-day editorial, we also have new staff dedicated to building the tools and marketplace.

I am excited to be overseeing these changes and hope that you are also.

Thanks,

Sean G. Hanna
