Rydex Spreading its Wings

Rydex Series Funds is making the Rydex OTC and Nova Funds now available through the Schwab mutual fund OneSource program.

The Rydex OTC fund is designed to track the daily performance of the NASDAQ 100 Index. The Rydex Nova fund is a leveraged index-based fund designed to correspond to 150% of the daily performance of the S&P 500 Index.

"This new partnership means a significantly wider field of investors can access two of our highest profile funds through a convenient, cost-effective platform," said national sales manager Mark Bentley. "This is another step in our efforts to make Rydex a more well known name."

The minimum initial investment for the Rydex OTC and Nova Fund is $2,500 per fund under the OneSource program for non-qualified accounts and $1,000 for qualified accounts. Those who choose to invest with Rydex directly must make a $25,000 minimum initial investment.

In addition to the OneSource program, Rydex funds are also available through the Fidelity Funds Network and TD Waterhouse. Based in Rockville, MD, Rydex currently manages over $9 billion in assets.
