Seligman Time Horizon Matrix recommends portfolios for investors seeking to achieve investment goals over time frames ranging from 30 years to one year. The Matrix recommends 31 unique portfolios - one for each year starting at Year 30, plus the Harvester Portfolio for investors seeking income from their assets.

Each of the four new funds in the Seligman Time Horizon/Harvester Series is named in accordance with an investor's "time horizon" for achieving one or more investment goals and, under normal conditions, invests in specific assets in seeking to achieve its investment goals. The Series invests in other Seligman Mutual Funds to implement its unique asset allocation strategy. The four new funds are:

  • Seligman Time Horizon 30 Fund: intended for investors with long-term financial goals approximately 30 years away.
  • Seligman Time Horizon 20 Fund: designed for investors with long-term goals approximately 20 years away.
  • Seligman Time Horizon 10 Fund: intended for investors with intermediate-term financial goals.
  • Seligman Harvester Fund: designed for investors seeking an income stream from their capital.

"Time Horizon/Harvester is a solution for a lifetime of investments," said Charles W. Kadlec, J. & W. Seligman & Co. Managing Director, chief investment strategist for Seligman Advisors Inc. "The Series provides automatic portfolio rebalancing, simplified recordkeeping, and an easy-to-implement strategy to help investors seeking to build wealth over time. In addition, the Harvester Fund is specifically designed for investors in or approaching retirement."
