GS Hires New E-Commerce Head For Funds


Goldman Sachs Asset Management has hired Andrew Lapsley as vice president of electronic commerce for its mutual fund area. Lapsley comes to GSAM from Insource Technology, where he headed the firm's New York office.

With Lapsley's departure, Insource is closing its New York office and will consolidate its staff and resources around the firm's Houston, TX headquarters.

Lapsley will be joining the the firm's nascent e-commerce group, currently with three people onboard. Lapsely reports to Don Opatrny, managing director, Goldman Sachs.
