Warner-Lambert frenzy should benefit funds

Warner-Lambert is on the block, the finalists are in place, but no one has emerged yet as the clear acquirer, so speculation on the street is running rampant. But all rumors aside, the consensus seems to be that American Home Products or Pfizer will eventually merge with the giant drug company. Either way, health care funds that hold WL are the winners so far, as the company's stock is up almost 10% from the battle.

More funds these days are actually giving investors some advance notice of when the fund's asset base reaches a level of maximum efficiancy and closing supposedly benefits the investment process. Morningstar's Fund Spy lists two popular funds that could be closing doors to new investors in the near future, if their managers stick to their guns.
