Before joining Lord Abbett last month, Humphrey, 55, spent 20 years with Chase Manhattan Bank where he managed the portfolio of the Chase Vista Select Large Cap Growth Fund.

BlackRock Inc. said that a team of European equity investment specialists led by Albert Morillo will be joining the firm by January 1, 2000.

Morillo and his colleagues, Allan McKenzie, Kenneth Anderson, David Stanistreet and Richard Alexander are all joining from Scottish Widows Investment Management Limited.

They will join BlackRock's existing team of 17 investment professionals managing Pacific Basin, EAFE and Emerging Market portfolios.

John Cleary will be taking his place in the AIM Developing Markets Fund and AIM Strategic Income Fund. He currently serves as the head of Invesco's London-based emerging markets fixed-income team.

Edwin Gutierrez and Jonathan Mann will be filling Munro's shoes in AIM Emerging Markets Debt Fund. Both are also portfolio managers of Invesco's emerging markets fixed-income team based in London.
