What's Next-No Plymouth Rock?

Pilgrim America Capital Corporation (PFX) today announced that it has shortened its name from Pilgrim America Capital Corporation to Pilgrim Capital Corporation in order to strengthen its Pilgrim brand name used by the nineteen mutual funds and five structured finance portfolios managed by Pilgrim.

"Pilgrim is the brand name known by our customers, shareholders, business partners and the financial services industry," said Robert W. Stallings, chairman, president and ceo of Pilgrim. "Shortening the corporate name to Pilgrim will strengthen the Pilgrim brand."

The New York Stock Exchange symbol for Pilgrim will remain PFX. The CUSIP number for shares of Pilgrim's common stock will change from 72142R 10 8 to 72142Y 10 3.
