"Pilgrim is the brand name known by our customers, shareholders, business partners and the financial services industry," said Robert W. Stallings, chairman, president and ceo of Pilgrim. "Shortening the corporate name to Pilgrim will strengthen the Pilgrim brand." The New York Stock Exchange symbol for Pilgrim will remain PFX.
