Monday, May 24, 1999 New Exec for Institutional Clients at J.P. Morgan J.P. Morgan Investment Management has tapped Chris Durbin for the post of chief investment strategist. Durbin will work directly with the firm's institutional clients, including those that have defined contribution plans with the vendor. This move follows the departure of Larry Smith, who had been global head of asset allocation. Durbin is currently stationed in London where he is co-head of global investments and head of international fixed income. He will be leaving London for New York City shortly. "Durbin was a key architect of Morgan's global investment processes. He was instrumental in the creation of Morgan's globally integrated network of analysts and portfolio managers and, with his strong investing track record, is the ideal choice for this important role," said Ramon de Oliveira, chairman of Morgan's asset management business.
