Friday, April 23, 1999 Putnam Gains Channel Director for B/D Putnam Investments has hired Joseph D. Kringdon as senior vice president and channel director for its broker/dealer division. He will report to William Connolly, managing director and national sales manager for Putnam Mutual Funds. Kringdon will work closely with Putnam's relationship management team to assure optimum service and efficiency to broker/dealer clients. He will also be responsible for coordinating selling practices for wholesalers dedicated to the broker/dealer distribution channel. Kringdon joins Putnam from Salomon Smith Barney, where he was senior vice president of investments and ran a major branch office.
