Tech Fund Managers Keynote California Conference

What's a cheap and effective way to market your tech fund? Make sure your fund's manager gets his or her share of facetime by logging conference hours. Or in this case, headlining at a tech stock conference.

Kevin Landis, co-founder and portfolio manager of FirstHand Funds' Technology Value Fund (TVFQX), Technology Leaders Fund (TLFQX) and Technology Innovators Fund (TIFQX) will be one of two keynote speakers at the Informed Investors Tech Silicon Valley Technology Stock Forum, April 24 in Palo Alto, CA. Landis will present on tech stock opportunities and what the next drivers might be in the sector.

The second keynote address will be delivered by Rod Berry, the technology analyst for Elijah Asset Management, a sub-advisor to Robertson Stephens Investment Management, and portfolio manager of the Robertson Stephens Information Age Fund (RSIFX), whose presentation will focus on the primary factors involved in evaluating tech stocks.

The remainder of the forum will consist of executive presentations by 12-20 technology-focused companies aimed at individual investors, including E*TRADE, QualMark, and Verity. The forum runs from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 24 at the Hyatt Rickey's in Palo Alto, CA.
