  • Vestek Select, a data collection and fund analysis system developed for both fund companies and their distribution partners, was launched last year in the U.S.

"The rapid growth of the Japanese investment trust market has made existing approaches to fund holdings analysis, portfolio analysis and report creation increasingly costly and time consuming," said Joe Wakatsuki, business development manager for Vestek Select in Japan. "Because Vestek Select is the only solution available in the market, I see a tremendous opportunity here."

14 fund managers have joined the program, including Taiyo Investment Trust & Management and Commerz International Capital Management. On the distributor side, Watson Wyatt K.K. and Global Wrap Consulting Group are utilizing Vestek Select's to match client investment objectives with both U.S.- and Japanese-managed funds.
