Monday, July 9, 2001 Idex Switches SubAdvisors Dean Investment Associates has been beating their bogey as subadvisor to the Idex Dean Asset Allocation Fund (ITPAX). But that did not save the relationship. Idex Management filed with the SEC to end its relationship with Dean and move the fund's assets to Transamerica Asset Management instead. Both Idex and Transamerica are owned by Aegon. The move follows a similar path taken earlier this year by John Riazzi. The former president of Dean left the firm earlier this year and joined Transamerica Investment Management as chief executive officer. Riazzi had been the portfolio manager of the fund. Dean promoted Stephen Miller to replace Riazzi on June 20. Miller had been been executive vice president and chief operating officer prior to the promotion.
