BISYS has promoted Dennis Sheehan to COO and president from his former position as executive vice president and CFO. Andy Corbin will assume Sheehan's responsibilities now that has he become senior vice president and CFO.

TD Waterhouse reported its third quarter (ended July 31) results: cash earnings totaled $10.9 million, a 76 percent decrease from the same period a year ago. If amortization and goodwill are included, TD lost a staggering $21.8 million for the quarter. Earnings were $0.03, a significant decrease from $0.12 last year. On a bright note, TD did beat expectations as the First Call consensus estimate was $0.02 per share. If goodwill and restructuring costs are deducted, TD lost $0.06 per share compared to earnings per share of $0.09 a year ago. Revenues were $257 million for the quarter while revenues for the first nine months of fiscal 2001 were $887 million, down 27 percent from the same period a year ago.
