Friday, May 4, 2001 AIM Helps Skandia Market What do you get when you hire a sub-advisor? Nowadays, more than just investment management. To that end, AIM Capital Management is preparing an extranet site for intermediaries using American Skandia's products. AIM considers marketing support to be part of the sub-advisory package. "The value-added stuff, that's what you look for in a partner when you want to sub-advise some of your investment mandates," said Mark Santero, director of AIM's Alliance Products Division. The new addition to American Skandia's advisor Web site will provide intermediaries with an advisor toolbox loaded with generic sales ideas. Furthermore, AIM will include a company overview and portfolio commentary for the three portfolios it currently sub-advises (International Equity [mutual fund], Balanced [VA], and International Equity [VA]). American Skandia began constructing 25 extranet sites, each branded to the look of its sub-advisor, last November. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=24396 Copyright 2001, InvestmentWires, Inc.
