Franklin Adds Aggressive Growth

Franklin Templeton Distributors, Inc. has added the Franklin Aggressive Growth Fund to its product mix. The fund seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in equity securities of companies demonstrating accelerating growth, increasing profitability or above-average growth or growth potential compared with the overall economy. Aggressive Growth is designed to target small, midsize, and large companies with strong growth potential across a wide range of sectors.

"We look at sectors having exceptional growth potential and then invest in those companies we determine to be fast-growing or innovative within these sectors," said Michael McCarthy, portfolio manager of Franklin Aggressive Growth Fund. "We also will favor companies showing solid management and sound financials." The management team will also include J.P. Scandalios and Conrad Herrmann.

"This fund, along with Franklin Large Cap Growth Fund, which was introduced earlier this month, will complement our existing growth fund lineup," said Greg Johnson, president of Franklin Templeton Distributors, Inc.

The fund offers Classes A, B and C, as well as Advisor Class shares.
