Monday, February 5, 2001 Managers as Talking Heads Will video clips of portfolio managers detailing last quarter's activities result in a greater accumulation of assets? RS Investment Management appears to think so, unveiling a streaming video feature that went live today. The clips feature commentaries from the managers of all of RS's fund offerings, with new comments scheduled to upload quarterly. "Given our audience base of tech-savvy investors, we think that our shareholders should have access to a more personal way of providing content" said a RSIM spokesperson. The feature was developed with in-house resources. Indeed, you could say it was cheap as the firm's largest outlay was for a camera and lighting.
