Supreme Court Deals a Blow to Pimco

The Supreme Court on Monday tossed out Pimco's appeal of a July ruling that affirmed class-action status to a lawsuit involving Treasury notes, InvestmentNews reports.

A Pimco representative declined to comment to the pub.

The complaint, originally filed in 2005, accused Pimco of illegally manipulating the futures market for some 10-year Treasury notes. Last July, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit in Chicago affirmed the class-action status of the case.
