Monday, February 22, 2010 Invesco Plans to Drop the AIM Brand But Will Keep Van Kampen Invesco is planning to remove the AIM brand from its funds. Andrew Schlossberg, head of U.S. marketing, confirmed that the company will rebrand from Invesco Aim to Invesco on April 30, simultaneously rebranding its funds from AIM to Invesco. Meanwhile, Schlossberg confided that, once its acquisition of Morgan Stanley's retail asset management business closes mid-year, Invesco will keep the Van Kampen brand on those funds, calling them Invesco Van Kampen.
The AIM Charter fund, for instance, will take the name Invesco Charter, according to Morningstar's Ryan Leggio. In 2004, 17 Invesco-branded funds were rebranded under the AIM brand on the heels of the market-timing scandal. Printed from: MFWire.com/story.asp?s=24238 Copyright 2010, InvestmentWires, Inc.
