Thursday, February 18, 2010 BlackRock Purchase Rumor Was Just That Rumors were buzzing this week about a possible deal between BlackRock and the world's largest hedge fund firm Man Group. Man's shares shot up as news surfaced that BlackRock was preparing to buy the British company, but it appears there isn't any deal. Sources told Reuters that BlackRock has no interest in buying Man.
