Friday, January 22, 2010 Invesco Aim Targets a Smaller Audience for its Small-Cap Fund Invesco Aim is restricting access to its AIM International Small Company Fund as the fund closes in on the $500 million mark. The move will take effect at the close of business on January 29, according to an SEC filing. "Invesco Aim believes moving the Fund into limited offering status as it reaches approximately $500 million in assets will serve to preserve the fund's performance potential and small-cap integrity," company officials said in a press release. The fund will still be available for investment to existing shareholders and investors, such as retirement plans, who win the approval of Invesco Aim Distributors, Inc. and Invesco Advisers to open a new account. Also, proprietary asset allocation funds, as well as the fund's current portfolio managers and portfolio management team may open new accounts in the fund at the discretion of the advisor.
