Thursday, October 22, 2009 Cohen & Steers Returns to the Black Cohen & Steers posted income of $7.5 million in the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $754,000 in the year-ago period. The New York City-based REIT fund specialist saw net inflows of $386 million into its open-end funds during the three months ended September 30, versus net inflows of $161 million during the second quarter and net outflows of $321 million in the third quarter of 2008. Average assets under management for open-end mutual funds were $5.1 billion for the just-concluded quarter, up 34.7 percent from the second quarter and down 29.7 percent from the year-ago period.
