Management consultant firm kasina has named Bryan Kozlowski a senior managing consultant. He started at the New York City-based firm on October 12. He will work to help investment managers develop their business models for the current economy.

Kozlowski was previously with Casey, Quirk and Associates, where he was an associate director. A representative for Casey Quirk was not immediately available for comment on how Kozlowski's previous duties are being handled.

Prior to Casey Quirk, Kozlowski was a vice president for the Morgan Stanley Competitive Strategies unit.

Another addition to the kasina team is Andrew Maniglia, who will begin work as a data analyst on Monday.
Company Press Release New York, (October 14, 2009) – Over the last year, many investment managers have lost almost half of their operating revenues, creating a devastating cost structure. This has forced companies to take a hard look at how to overhaul their current business models.

As part of its continued response to the challenges that the industry is facing, kasina, a strategic management consulting firm, has announced the hiring of Bryan Kozlowski as a Senior Managing Consultant. Mr. Kozlowski’s first day with the firm was October 12th.

“Given the current environment, companies are rethinking the fundamentals of their business and asking kasina to help them find ways of evolving their business models to ensure long-term viability,” says Steven Miyao, kasina’s CEO. “We are thrilled to add Bryan to the kasina family. His extensive consulting experience with C-level executives in the asset management industry will enable him to guide our clients through this tough time.”

Mr. Kozlowski comes to kasina with 12 years of experience in the asset management industry. Previously, he was an Associate Director at Casey, Quirk & Associates, where he was responsible for working with Clevel asset management executives to solve marketing, investment platform, and business strategy issues. He also oversaw financial modeling for business plans, ventures, and transactions. Prior to joining Casey Quirk, he was a Vice President in Morgan Stanley's Competitive Strategies unit. Bryan has also worked at Greenwich Associates, where he had project management responsibilities for a number of the firm's investment management research programs. Mr. Kozlowski is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and received his M.B.A. in Finance, Marketing, and Strategy from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Mr. Kozlowski’s hire comes on the heels of two other senior-level hires that kasina has made in the past year. The firm hired Deb Wetherbee (formerly of FRC) as Senior VP of Sales and Marketing in late 2008 and Eric Daugherty (formerly of The Vanguard Group) as Resident Intellect in March 2009.

kasina also announced that it has hired Andrew Maniglia as a Data Analyst. Mr. Maniglia, whose first day will be October 19th, will support kasina’s FA Vision service. He comes to kasina from PFC Energy, where he provided clients with strategic, competitive, and portfolio analysis services. Prior to PFC Energy, he worked in the Economics Department of Georgetown University where he was responsible for running regressions for professor and graduate student projects and assisting in the development of probability distributions. Mr. Maniglia is a graduate of Georgetown University.
