Thursday, October 1, 2009 Political Contributions Draw Attention to Fidelity Political contributions from some of their employees have pushed Fidelity, State Street and other financial services firms into the heart of a discussion about Massachusetts' pension fund. The Boston Herald's Jerry Kronenberg reports that Fido employees recently gave about $166,000 to political candidates in Massachusetts, while a State Street political action committee gave to both State Treasurer Tim Cahill and his opponent in 2002.
