Wednesday, July 22, 2009 Gaffney Lures a Nuveen Exec to Allianz Allianz Global Investors Distributors CEO Brian Gaffney is bringing in a Nuveen Investments executive for a key post, The MFWire has learned. Eric Sutherland, managing director of national accounts at Nuveen, will join Allianz as head of channel distribution and wirehouse key accounts, Allianz spokeswoman Megan Frank confirmed to The MFWire. He will start on August 10 and report to Gaffney. Nuveen spokeswoman Kathleen Cardoza declined to comment on how Sutherland's duties will be handled. Allianz Global Investors Distributors pitches products from Allianz, Pimco, NFJ Investment Group, RCM, Nicholas-Applegate and Oppenheimer Capital.
